Dearest Girlfriends,
I am asking for prayer. I have a tickle in my throat that has been there for the past week due to a virus that has gone through my children and come to me. As a result, I have severe coughing spells that are downright embarrassing and force me to leave the room. It wouldn't be a big deal except that I leave for Canada tomorrow for a television interview on 100 Huntley Street. The program is going to interview me on my book and our family's life in the Congo. It has a very large viewing audience, so the interview could be seen by many many people. I am asking for the Lord's healing on my throat and would so appreciate you joining me. Also, please pray that Jesus would be high and lifted up, that somehow He would fill this jar of clay to speak of His wonders in a way that Shawn Lantz just cannot do without the help of the Holy Spirit. Please pray that the gift of salvation in Jesus Christ would become clear to those watching the program and that many would receive the gift of salvation through the witness of my God on the program. Please pray for wisdom, strength, a safe flight, and much clarity. Also pray that Jesus would show up and stun all of us with His presence. I have been told that the program can be seen here in the United States. The taping will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on Thursday, December 11th. (The show is located in Toronto, Canada.)
