To say that this has been a busy summer is the understatement of the season! I have been neck deep working on finishing up the final edits of my soon-to-be-published Bible study coming out this fall. I just finished teaching the study to one of the greatest groups of women imaginable at my home church. I prayed that Jesus Christ would show up and stun us with His presence and He did! I am in awe of what He has shown all of us through the power of the Holy Spirit. I have been challenged, convicted, comforted, and inspired to be more like Him for the time our group has spent together in His Word.
My life will continue to be crazy for several more weeks, but I thought I should pop in and say hello. I have missed this little blog very much. I hope that you will continue to peek in often as I plan to update more frequently than once or twice a month.
I shared these verses with our group this summer and they just will not leave my mind. In a turbulent time for so many of us, we have got to remember Who is really in control. Let's allow these precious words to ease our hearts and minds in whatever trouble or anxiety we may find ourselves in today:
"The Lord is my chosen and assigned portion, my cup; You hold and maintain my lot.
The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; yes, I have a good heritage." Psalm 16:5-6
Let's hold on to our God because He alone holds and maintains our lot. In Him, no matter our circumstances, those boundary lines have fallen for us in pleasant places because His goodness is our heritage.
